Adopt one project

Keep the repository and provider workflow authoritative while the Fleet owns outcomes.

Start with one existing repository and one outcome that can end in a reviewable artifact. AgentOS does not require a migration: the remote repository, issues, board, CI and pull-request workflow remain where they are.

First Mate uses the project procedure to resolve or register the project, its checkout and its selected delivery posture. A ship Assignment works in an isolated worktree and ends in the durable artifact that posture requires—normally a committed branch and review artifact for a remote-backed project. Merge remains a separate human authority unless an exact standing decision already covers it.

A useful first outcome

Choose something small enough to inspect but real enough to cross the full chain of custody:

Add server-side validation for the onboarding form and deliver it through this repository’s existing pull-request checks.

That outcome can become a Task, one active Assignment, a bounded worker, a commit, test evidence and a review artifact. It exposes ownership and recovery behavior without granting broad production authority.

The selected project workflow owns the complete procedure. This page does not replace its Skill or the repository’s own AGENTS.md.

Next: delegate an outcome.
